On January 24, 2025, Bad Influence premiered. This film adaptation of the Wattpad phenomenon, written by teensspirit with over 44 million reads, was directed by Chloé Wallace and produced by Nadie es Perfecto and N&L Films, where Yembe! was the agency responsible for all musical supervision of the soundtrack.
Following its success at the Spanish box office, the film premiered on Netflix worldwide this Friday, May 9, and over the weekend, it became the number 1 movie globally.
Bad Influence reached the top 1 in over 30 countries and is among the 10 most-watched films in 47 countries. A milestone that confirms its global impact, and for which we have had the privilege of supervising its beautiful soundtrack.
Mala Influencia breathes a lot of music, and the main inspiration for creating and designing the soundtrack was “Euphoria.” In Pedro Merchan’s beautiful “Film Scoring” (with electronic overtones from Labyrinth and Clint Mansell), as well as in the extensive selection of songs composed by Omar Tenani with the director, we find national artists such as C. Tangana, Arde Bogotá, Rusowsky, Ralphie Choo, Delaporte, and Sen Serra, alongside international names such as Die AntWoord, Aqua, and our beloved “LaChica,” synchronized with her work “Sola” in the final climax of the film, which will not leave you indifferent.
Finally, Universal Music Spain collaborated closely on the production of an original song written by Naiara, winner of OT 2023, who wrote for the film itself and which features in the film’s closing credits.
