Niños Luchando
Niños Luchando is the name under which Javier Bolívar presents his new musical adventure following the split of Aurora, whose first album (‘Géminis’, 2013), produced by Banin de Los Planetas, led them to open for Tame Impala. With their second album (‘Silice’, 2014), they explore new territories that opened the doors to Mexico and Colombia.
Niños Luchando’s sound is close to indie-tronica, with echoes of projects like The Postal Service, Beak, and Moderat without losing their essence, which transforms machines into guitars and vice versa, projecting an imagery where alternative pop and cables embrace and intertwine amid psychedelic melodies.
In mid-2020, during the lockdown, Javier began composing the songs that would shape his first self-released EP. In ‘Diario de ingreso, pt. In “Diario de ingreso, pt. I,” released in late 2021, the Granada-born artist addressed themes such as isolation and his desire to heal wounds, using the sea as a common thread. In May 2022, Niños Luchando released “Diario de ingreso, pt. II” (published by Raso estudio), a more brilliant follow-up that attempts to find a solution to the ongoing conflicts.
Throughout 2022, Niños Luchando’s tour will take them to some of the major festivals on the Spanish scene, such as Sound Isidro, Mallorca Live Festival, Vida Festival, and Festival Gigante.
